<p>The domino pattern will fade away when the damselfish matures and will become greyer and the spots will fade too.</p>
<p>The domino damselfish is a hardy fish. It can tolerate conditions that could easily kill other fish, hence the reason many people use these fish to “<a href="http://saltwater-aquarium-guide.net/nitrogen-cycle-the-process">Nitrogen cycle</a>" new tanks and therefore great for a beginners.<br />

<p class="MsoNormal">These hardy Damselfish are often recommended as the initial occupants of a newly <a href="http://saltwater-aquarium-guide.net/category/saltwater%20aquarium%20set%20up">established marine aquarium</a>.<span> </span>Many species of damselfish adapt well to the fluctuations in the water chemistry that will inevitably occur until the <a href="http://saltwater-aquarium-guide.net/saltwater-aquarium-filtration-systems">aquarium filtration system</a> is fully established.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In addition damselfish are easy to feed, and they can also be kept in small groups when young. However once they have settled in the aquarium they are likely to become territorial which will lead to bullying of the weaker damselfish.<img class="alignright" src="/images/fiji-blue-devil-damselfish.jpg" alt="fiji blue devil damselfish" width="210" height="211" title="Damselfish" /></p>
