The season of spring has arrived and it is a chance to enjoy it by doing a bit of work in our garden. During the winter, the garden didn’t require a lot of care. There are lots of things that you can do in your garden throughout this season but it must always be done with care. If you want to have a dream garden, put the work in and you will reap the benefits in the summer and even into Autumn.
New seeds must be planted and regular garden maintenance needs to be done. If you have just set off as a gardener or even if you have been doing it for a long time, I have good news for you. What follows is a list containing the stages of spring and the right items to care for the plants and trees.
1) The new buds that sprout in spring need to have sunlight to thrive so remove any dead branches to ensure that they are exposed to it.
2) Ask these questions regarding your garden soil. Does your dirt have any type of distinct color? Does your soil seem like it demands additional or less fertilizer? If you think that your plants and flowers do not have enough soil, now would be the time to add more. Depending on your preferences, you can purchase many different types of soil (for seedlings, trees, etc) from your neighborhood retailer.
3) Utilize the yard you have and place your seedlings in well watered areas. If your grass is going to always be in the shade, it is important to purchase a particular type of grass for this purpose. As for flowers, they’re tolerant and we suggest you use the plants that bloom more than once, such as calendula, dahlias, or poppies. If you don’t feel like going to your neighborhood store, you can usually log on to their website or give them a call and have it shipped within two days.
4) Your flowers and plants need water and nutrients to grow well so keep that up all through the spring season, especially your seedlings and new plants. Although you can buy fertilizer that’s generic for all plants and trees, it is recommended that you purchase specific types for your different plants as they all have very specific needs (especially roses and new seedlings). Furthermore, you can also pick up things like an anti-stress fertilizer and plenty of other fertilizers that can be used for all seasons.
5) To avoid the problems caused by pests, sprinkle the plants with an anti-insect spray solution.
If you want to give your garden an innovative touch, visit your local retailer for some gorgeous garden decorations. Things like a pink flamingo can give your garden that “Alice in Wonderland” feel and can add character that others will admire. Spotlights and various other well placed small LED’s can really produce a beautiful garden at night. Don’t just follow all of these suggestions, use your own imagination to create a beautiful garden during the spring.
